Situated just three hours from Perth, and about two hours from Margaret River, Boyup Brook is an ideal holiday destination. Located in the heart of the Blackwood River Valley, Boyup Brook offers visitors a range of unique experiences.  Walk along the Blackwood River and enjoy a picnic lunch at the historic Flax Mill or Lions Park. Why not hire a canoe and explore the river?

During the wildflower season the town surrounds are alive with the colour and spectacle of orchids, daisies and kangaroo paws. If you are lucky you may see a glimpse of the endangered Carnaby Cockatoo which makes its home in the region.

Boyup Brook has a range of accommodation available, including hotel, caravan park and farm stays. You can make your base in the town and explore the surrounding region, which includes the tall trees of Pemberton, the ‘Tree Top Walk’ in Walpole and the local art and craft as well as the galleries in Bridgetown and Manjimup. Locally you can also visit the Harvey Dickson Country Music Centre or visit the famous Sandy Chambers hologram statues located in and around the town itself.

Thinking of a life-style change? Boyup Brook offer affordable housing and a country atmosphere with a range of services such as a supermarket, swimming pool, hospital and resident doctor. The community has many active sports and recreational clubs including, hockey, cricket, football, tennis, bowls and golf.

The Dinninup Show is held on Melbourne Cup day, ( First Tuesday of November) , every year.

Local industry is driven by agricultural enterprises. The region is fast developing a reputation for quality wines. The growing viticulture industry is complimented by sheep and wheat farms which have been in the same family for generations. ‘Life-style’ farms are often available for those interested in smaller lots.
