Country Roads Caravan Club was formed in
1980 under the name of Dunduklumpen Caravan Club.
The original name came from a Swedish folk
character that brought happiness, friendship and laughter to the local
village.
The caravan club obtained the rights to use
the name, hence the Dunduklumpen Caravan Club was born. Over a period of
twenty one years the club has had a range of membership from thirty to a
peak of seventy members. In 2003 it was decided to "retire" Dunduklumpen
and, after a survey of members it was decided to rename the club "Country
Roads Caravan Club"
The club has thirty five current members
ranging in age from 32 to 85. Families are very welcome and we also
welcome your pets as long as they are friendly and cause no
annoyance to other members. We have a joining fee of $15 per person and
our current membership fee is $30 per year.
We hold about ten monthly rallies per year,
usually at weekends where we go to country farms, country community
centres and the occasional caravan park. When we go to farms members
take portable generators and portable toilets.
In July 2012 the club will be 32 years on the 'Road' and we celebrate
this occasion at the Grass Valley Hotel.
If you would like more information or would
