Northcliffe lies in the heart of the south west, only 366 kilometres from Perth and 20 minutes to Windy Harbour/Point D'Entrecasteaux.  One could almost believe that time has stood still for this part of the south west.... a tiny village with local shopkeepers full of stories of the group settlement days and the wonderful walks that are easily accessible for people of moderate fitness.
Northcliffe enjoys an abundance of flora and fauna, is the 'entry - way ' to the extensive and unspoilt coast-line of the world famous D'Entrecasteaux National Park - one of the few areas where pristine wilderness is so accessible. Northcliffe has visitors coming from all around the world to marvel at the wilderness, the views and enjoy just being in a small part of the world that is not overcome by modern tourism...
This does not mean there is nothing for visitors to experience.... far from it  --visitors may enjoy sightseeing by vehicle or on foot - swimming, surfing, fishing, 4wheel driving - (check with CALM ), Stand in awe of  the massive virgin Karri, Marri and Jarrah trees, birdwatching studying exotic native plants and orchids and just plain relaxing with a glass of local 'cool climate' wine and local produce for a tasty and healthy lunch.
Many newly constructed board walks make sight seeing very 'user friendly'.....ask at the Visitor centre or the village shops for maps and directions to the many glorious views available in this unique corner of the south west.
Visit the Forest Park, Mount Chudalup, Lane Tree Falls & the Boorara tree, Moons Crossing, Salmon beach, Great Forest Trees Drive, Shannon National Park, and of course take time out to explore Windy Harbour and the D'Entrecasteaux National Park.
Northcliffe has varied  accommodation available , from cottage farmstays, intimate motels, hotel and backpackers to camping, B & B's, caravans and chalets..... something for everyone. Be sure to pick up a copy of the 'Northcliffe Map' showing you all the businesses in the area from many of the visitor centres along the way.
No phones, no hustle and bustle....just a real old fashioned peaceful holiday !!!    Northcliffe boasts a 'gentle form' of tourism........what more could one want in this day and age !
