During the wildflower season the town surrounds are alive with the colour and spectacle of orchids, daisies and kangaroo paws. If you are lucky you may see a glimpse of the endangered Carnaby Cockatoo which makes its home in the region.

You can make your base in the town and explore the surrounding region, which includes the tall trees of Pemberton, the ‘Tree Top Walk’ in Walpole and the local art and craft as well as the galleries in Bridgetown and Manjimup. Locally you can also visit the Harvey Dickson Country Music Centre or visit the famous Sandy Chambers hologram statues located in and around the town itself.
